What we collect

How we use it

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information for money or rent it, and we never give advertisers your name, email address or phone number. Our advertising and analytics partners' tags also receive cookie and device identifiers and information about the pages you view (see Advertising cookies below). Otherwise we share it only with:

We do not share your mobile number or your consent to receive texts with any third party for its own marketing.

Text messages (SMS)

Program. Goldstein & Co. text messages about the results, book, review or appointment you requested.

How you opt in. We text you only if you check the optional text-message box on one of our forms, or if you text us first. The box is never pre-checked, and you do not have to check it to use a calculator or receive anything from us.

What we send. Appointment confirmations and reminders, the materials you asked for, and follow-up about your request.

Cost. Message and data rates may apply.

Opting out and help. Reply STOP at any time to stop; we will send one confirmation and nothing more. Reply HELP for help, or call 213-414-2808. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Consent to texts is not a condition of any purchase.

No sharing. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Advertising cookies and your California privacy choices

Advertising. On our Tax & Exit Planning and structured installment sale pages, our advertising partners' tags record that you visited a page, which page, and whether you submitted a form or clicked to book.

We use that to show our information about selling a business, farm, rental or other property to people who visited this site, and to measure whether it works. Audience membership is kept for up to 180 days. If you opt out, or if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, these tags never load.

Query strings that carry an email address, phone number or contact code are removed from the page address before any advertising tag loads.

Sharing. We do not sell personal information for money. Loading advertising cookies can count as “sharing” under California law, so you can opt out at any time: Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information.

Categories shared in the last 12 months, only for visitors who accepted advertising cookies: identifiers (cookie IDs, IP address, device identifiers) and internet activity (pages viewed, form submissions and booking clicks), shared with Meta and Google for advertising and measurement.

We do not knowingly sell or share the information of anyone under 16, and we do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics.

Global Privacy Control. We honor the GPC signal from your browser as an opt-out of sale and sharing, automatically. You can also manage ads in Google Ad Settings and Meta Ad Preferences.

The advertising pixel for this site is separate from, and not shared with, the Retirement Literacy Foundation or any other organization.

Do Not Track

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. This site does not currently change how it operates in response to that signal; Google Analytics runs the same way whether or not it is sent. You can limit Google Analytics by blocking cookies in your browser or by installing Google's opt-out browser add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout). Google's own practices are described at policies.google.com/privacy.

Your choices: access, correction, deletion and opt-out

How long we keep it and how we protect it

We keep contact and results information for as long as needed to respond to you and follow up, and longer only where the law requires it. We use reasonable safeguards, but no system is perfectly secure.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date above. If a change materially affects how we use information we already hold, we will also notify you by email where we have your address.

Anti-spam policy

We do not advertise this website by unsolicited bulk email, and we do not allow anyone, including affiliates, vendors or partners, to do so on our behalf.

Email we send about this site goes only to people who contacted us, asked for information, or opted in, and every message includes a working way to opt out, which we honor promptly. To report a message that violates this policy, write to hans@hansgoldstein.com.
